Gaddy Lopez

BLAISER/FRONTERA Summer Research Intern

Gaddy Lopez graduated from the University of Arizona in 2022 with a B.S. in Physiology and Medical Sciences with a minor in biochemistry. During her time as an undergraduate, she participated in research to understand how the impact of COVID affected exercise performance and wrote a literature review on creatine supplementation. From a very young age, Gaddy has always been curious about human physiology and strives to find ways in which she can learn something new from various fields. As an intern for the RENEW team, Gaddy is currently working on the ORCHID study to learn more about how sex hormones assist in recovering from opioid addiction. Gaddy enjoys volunteering at Clinica Amistad, studying skincare products, and finding ways to stay active in her free time.
