Alexis Ortega

Alexis Ortega is an MPH candidate with the Epidemiology department at Columbia University. She received her Bachelor's degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Quantitative Methods from the University of Arizona. During her undergraduate degree, Alexis was a FRONTERA (Focusing Research on the Border Area) intern. Through this internship, she got involved with the RENEW Team and completed a literature review with Dr. Allen. Currently, Alexis is working on writing a literature review as lead author focusing on menstrual cycle effects and hormonal contraceptive use on electronic cigarette-related symptomology in premenopausal women. Alexis has interests in health disparities and minority health.
