Alayha McNamara
Alayha McNamara is a senior at Southern Oregon University, earning a Baccalaureate of Science degree with a concentration in psychology and a minor in Sociology and Anthropology. She was selected to participate in the 2023 University of Arizona Summer research internship program on minimizing health disparities. She is studying under Dr. Alicia Allen, Assistant Professor in the departments of Family & Community Medicine, Clinical Translational Sciences, and Public Health at the University of Arizona. Alayha is an intern for the ORCHID project and is grateful to have been selected to participate in the RENEW team. Alayha is passionate about woman's health and is excited to contribute to the research being done in the RENEW lab on opioid use and hormones among mothers in postpartum.
